If you have clockstats on and maxpoll at 0, I think the NMEA driver will write 
a line each second.

But there will also be a line to peerstats for each refclock at the polling 
interval.  And one to loopstats each time the new data from peerstats gets 
through the filter.  I'd guess 1/4 to 1/2 of the samples from the sys-peer.  
You can the real number by counting lines in the log files - everything in 
loopstats vs the ones in peerstats from your PPS.
