I could easily imagine a rats-nest.

Why just two?  How about a no-ntpviz option?  How about a no-clients option?

The latter gets "interesting".  I think there are two types of clients.  
There are things like ntpq and ntomon that are used by humans poking around.  
I think there are some that would be useful from scripts, but don't have a 
handy example.

The other option tangled up here is that buildprep drags in gnuplot and 
friends.
