I only added this, IIRC, because it checked off a box somewhere and I can't find the box anymore.
OT: It appears the build is not reproducible on macOS w/ brew; an inferior check generates 166 differing 16-byte lines...
(diffs of `hexdump -C "${blob}"|cut -c 11-60`)
