Python is still the #1 popular language on the TIOBE indec.

Go is #7.

Also" Go updates are a pain.  You are supposed to recompile all your Go
programs every time the Go compiler changes.

Not a lot of Python in NTPSec:

ntpclients/ntpkeygen.py
ntpclients/ntploggps.py
ntpclients/ntplogtemp.py
ntpclients/ntpmon.py
ntpclients/ntpq.py
ntpclients/ntpsnmpd.py
ntpclients/ntpsweep.py
ntpclients/ntptrace.py
ntpclients/ntpviz.py
ntpclients/ntpwait.py

And all pretty simple.  I don't see any win to converting any of them.
Might be worth considering Go for a new project.
