No, we are *finally* mutating python shebangs in GPS.

Which is why what you are talking about got removed, with something the
maintainers like.

For some definition of "soon".  The last Python 2 release is barely 2
months old.  I can't get distros to use newer then 3 year old gpsd.  They
seem to think that software mellows sitting on the disk.
