Version strings

My fat finger.  Sorry.

Our man pages already have the date in the center of the bottom line.

What I was looking for was to add the version string in the left corner.

man man on Fedora:
2.7.6.1                           2016-12-12                            MAN(1)

Somebody is already putting the date in there.  Bad format though.
