Yo All!
New data for poll=8 (256 Sec). Like before, all data is 90% bounds,
run over 24 hours or more. Looks like 8 is clearly too high for
either of these PPS hosts. So this is the end of this test series.
Xeon:
Local Clock Local Clock Local Clock PPS PPS
Poll Freq Offset 90% Jitter 90% Stability 90% Offset 90% Jitter 90%
1 495ppb 16.9µs 27.7ppt 39.0µs 26.7µs
2 332ppb 20.9µs 15.6ppt 40.6µs 29.7µs
3 165ppb 20.5µs 7.5ppt 34.6µs 27.9µs
4 465ppb 15.5µs 3.1ppt 22.5µs 20.1µs
5 435ppb 13.3µs 3.4ppt 17.7µs 16.9µs
6 570ppb 10.2µs 1.2ppt 34.2µs 16.3µs
7 330ppb 11.0µs 1.4ppt 102 µs 21.2µs
8 251ppb 43.6µs 2.1ppt 364 µs 103 µs
I will go with poll=5 (32 sec) for this host. One could also argue for
poll=6 (64 sec).

8 0.89ppm 39.9 µs 6.86ppt 977. µs 95.2 µs
Here poll=1 (2 sec) looks best to me. A good reason to get poll=0 fixed
so I can test that.
The bottom line to what is the best poll value? The answer: it depends...
