Yo All!

New data for poll=4 (16 Sec). Like before, all data is 90% bounds, run
over 24 hours or more. Clearly the proper minpoll=maxpoll is important
and non-trivial to find.

Xeon:

Local Clock Local Clock Local Clock PPS PPS
Poll Freq Offset 90% Jitter 90% Stability 90% Offset 90% Jitter 90%
1 495ppb 16.9us 27.7ppt 39.0us 26.7us
2 332ppb 20.9us 15,6ppt 40.6us 29.7us
3 165ppb 20.5us 7,5ppt 34.6us 27.9us
4 465ppb 15.5us 3.1ppt 22.5us 20.1us
6 570ppb 10.2us 1.2ppt 34.2us 16.3us

Moving slowly from 1 to 4 seems mostly a good direction. 5 is next.

RasPi3:

Local Clock Local Clock Local Clock PPS PPS
Poll Freq Offset 90% Jitter 90% Stability 90% Offset 90% Jitter 90%
1 1.1 ppm 0.43us 2.3 ppt 1.6us 0.34us
2 1.1 ppm 0.08us 2.9 ppt 2.2us 0.20us
3 0.5 ppm 0.18us 1.9 ppt 3.0us 0.56us
4 1.12ppm 1.27us 2.26ppt 10.3us 4.11us
6 1.4 ppm 3.3 us 2.2 ppt 68 us 9.7 us

Clearly poll=4 is past the optimum point for this host.

More to come.
