Test farm news

Another donation arrived today - an Uputronics HAT and ModMyPi case made for it,
with an exit hole for the SMA jack. (Thank you, Anthony Stirk!) I have ordered
another Pi 3 to go with it.
When this arrives I will set up two pairs of identically configured Pi 3s, one
with Adafruit HATs and one with Uputronics boards. These will be available for
pair testing of differing configuration files.
The first test I intend to run is to find out how much difference in tracking
accuracy check servers actually make when you have a local GPS.
Still struggling with the Odroid C2 0 it's up, but I haven't figured
out how to configure its GPIO pin yet. Their documentation sucks
rocks - *much* worse than the Pi. Their support people want to be
helpful but aren't very good at it.
I have written some pdsh scripts for managing farm-machine configurations.
The amount of hand-work required for this is actually dropping.
The main reason I haven't started running tests already is that I don't yet
understand what metrics to watch, nor what the good profiling and data-reduction
tools are.
Would somebody please educate me about this? Pointers to things I could read
would be helpful.
