Sounds very reasonable to me.  On the BBB the *only* way to see uboot 
output is with a serial connection on UART0.  No clue on the Odroid, but 
the BBB is 3.3v, so you have to ensure whatever you hookup is not 5v or 
not real RS232 voltages.
