Here is what I do:

    scons --clean
    scons --config=force timing=True debug=true profiling=true qt
    scons install

Much more info in build.adoc and INSTALL.adoc.

The trick is getting all the prerequisites insalled first. pps-tools
is the one most miss.  If you keep trak of what you need on the fresh
install, I can add it to the build.adoc.
