There can always be other problems. :-) The question is - do we see 
evidence of any here?
If the need for a non-standard mindist in itself isn't evidence of a 
problem, then I'll set up three devices with this configuration - one 
with GPS on USB, and two with GPS on UART. I'll run them over the 
weekend, collect some data, and see if any problems show up.
