My understanding is that WWVB is inherently less stable/reliable than GPS, 
simply due to the physics of long wave transmission, + distance. I have 
one of those little ferrite devices in my bag of electronic warp and weft, 
wasn't able to get it working on my first pass with it, but it's on my 
'yeah, one of these days...' list.
