Following up on my post of a bit ago, did some research, and came up with 
the following.

Four-way splitter - 'Signal Inside' was part of an electronics supplier 
that went out of business last year. New unit, probably from bankruptcy 
auction. Seem to be a fair number of them available, at least as of this 
writing and the price seems fair too -

   A couple of termination loads. No clue if they're  entirely "right" at 
1W, but so far, so good:

Routed it all up to the one 'best' antenna (which is not in the best 
location, but best-for-now).

The numbers  are pretty good,  and the two RPI's with identical GPS boards 
show virtually identical satellite capture and TDOP. The Adafruit shows 
_nearly_ the same sat/TDOP values; expected...
