Back to active participation

Hi all,

After some time away, I'm back and intend to actively participate in NTPsec again.

To be clear up front: I'm not stepping on anyone's toes or reclaiming old roles. Matt Selsky remains the release manager and continues to own the devops/release-control side of the project. That's not changing, and I'm not looking to change it.

Where I expect to be useful: these days I'm working heavily in encryption and in the Linux distribution world. On crypto, expect informed opinions and the occasional patch around TLS and our crypto dependencies. On distributions, I'm not looking to take over packaging -- rather, I keep track of what the distros actually ship and support, and I can help inform where we set our floors: minimum OpenSSL/LibreSSL versions, toolchain and dependency baselines, and which platforms are realistic to keep targeting.

Glad to be back. Looking forward to working with you all again.

Mark Atwood
