Do we run on any systems that don't support Go? Rust?

There isn't any Go code in our collection, but we did put some time and 
effort into thinking about it.

I think it would be fun to learn enough about Go so that I could use it 
rather than python for writing hack programs.  (Some hacks grow big enough 
to be interesting.)  I learn much better if there are others also working 
on something similar.

How big is a tad?

Why were we considering converting everything to Go if it wasn't 
significantly safer?
