I presume he was only referring to buildprep, and not the project in 
general.  It's not clear how important it is to explain to users how to 
set up aspects of a proper Python installation that have nothing to do 
with the project.

BTW, at some point (not necessarily right now), could we rename 
'buildprep' so that it doesn't have an annoying command-line completion 
conflict with 'build'?
