And yet, Gentoo, and others still ship 2.7.  And end users still use it.

I'd much rather argue with you than all the users that complain quickly
every time gpsd or ntpsec breaks 2.7 support.

We have spent 100x more time arguing about it than the cost of keeping
2.7 support.  You need to recheck your time management.
