Yes! - since these instructions are for a purpose built device, doing a
full install to /usr/local, then testing would make sense. Doesn't work?
Okay, rebuild and reinstall, no difference. There is no harm.
Plus, after install, have the user run 'which gpsd' or 'whereis gpsd',
and if they get any result other than /usr/local/sbin/gpsd, they'll
immediately know they diverged somehow from the howto, and need to fix
that before moving forward.
