NetBSD 6.1.5 doesn't have ldexpl in math.h

So it seems reasonable to assume that it's OK to run without the extra 
precision.

The case I was worried about was where cleaning up that area we accidentally 
lost the precision.


Do you (or Mark) have any opinions on whether I should push the fix?  It 
pokes a tiny hole in the we-need-C99 position.
