All of the current code passes pyflakes, and pep8. With a few
documented exceptions.
I guess I should have been more clear. My personal policy is to not
merge code that fails either. It is not an NTPsec policy yet, but I'll
work to keep it clean as I consider it 'best practices'.
You are free to merge what you will, but I'll likely follow up and clean
up your code.

I'm sure there are. Coding has large numbers of unwritten rules.
