I figure if I'm going to be modding the code to have additional run-time 
options to provide setting decision points, monitoring & alerts to meet 
my needs (while keeping the original author's functional behaviour as 
default), I may as well add the antenna length (& speed) adjustment so 
it's available for those using modules that don't have that feature. 
Should be simple to implement at the same time (that's what he said).
