If we're not working towards a unified vocabulary, what's the point
of having a glossary at all?  

If all you can do is tell me how hard the problem is, you won't
have any influence on the fix.  I understand it's difficult;
I'll take the best documentation solution I can get. It's
your choice how much you want to try to pull in the directions
you think are correct.
