The server was alive and well during the whole time.  Most of the time it was 
polling at 1024 seconds.

The chunk of easily visible data on the far right was where I restarted the 
server.  The other big vertical spikes are probably from restarts or reboots, 
but I don't have good notes handy.  (I'll dig through the log files if it 
matters.)

If you look carefully, you can see occasional tiny short line segments.  
That's what's left after your removal of line segments due to "missing" data.
