colors from waf => crap in log files

waf likes fancy colors.

>From build -v, it prints "runner" in red.  You end up with things like this:

18:10:51 ^[[35mrunner^[[0m ['/usr/bin/bison', '-d', '--debug', 
'/home/murray/ntpsec/play/ntpd/ntp_parser.y', '-o', 'ntp_parser.tab.c']

But I don't get them in a log file made by a script.  Does anybody understand that area?

The script tee-s to a log file, but doing that by hand still got colors.
