Mail system option to convert to plain text?

Er, sorry. I've switched email clients recently and it has all kinds of wrong settings.

That mail had the wrong from address, so the list rejected it.  I think I've found the plain text setting.

Gary's email covered your question well.

Does the mailing list package you are using have the option to convert 
everything to plain text?

HTML stuff is a pain, but I can usually read it.  base64 requires more work 
and grep won't work.

Is google smart enough to decode base64 in things that look like mail?

Dan sent a reply to my Linux question in base64.  It hasn't made it to the 
archives yet.  Is the archiver "smart" enough to skip over mail with no plain 
text?
