Ok, thanks Eric and Hal. Please file a bug against it,  tagging it as
broken, uses Perl, uses Mode 7.  Don't stop work on other stuff on your
plate.

Sanjeev, do you know Python?  Would you like to take a crack at
re-implementing loopstats in Python?
