You may have to work at it, but BeagleBoard recommends the Adafruit
GPS breakout:

I know of at least one successful install of that and gpsd.

So not plug compatible, but clearly jumper compatible.  5 jumpers instead
of a direct plugin.  So equivalent, but different enough for its own howto.
